Bronson Expands Neurosurgery Team

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Bronson Methodist Hospital welcomes Gregory Wiggins, M.D. to its medical staff. Wiggins joins the neurosurgery team of Alain Fabi, M.D., Bratislav Velimirovic, M.D., Ph.D., Daryl Warder, M.D., Ph.D., Jason Peterman, PA-C, Vie Saylor, PA-C and Emily Yonker, PA-C with Bronson Neurosurgery.

Wiggins is a board certified neurosurgeon with special interests in complex spine/deformity, peripheral nerve surgery, minimally invasive brain and spine surgeries and intracranial endoscopy.

Wiggins completed his orthopedic and neurosurgical spine fellowship at the University of Washington and a peripheral nerve surgery fellowship at Louisiana State University. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at Henry Ford Hospital and Children's Hospital of Michigan and internship in general surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and bachelor's degree from DePauw University.

In addition, Wiggins is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, AANS/CNS Joint Section on the Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves, American Medical Association and Michigan State Medical Association.

Neurological surgeries performed by Wiggins and the neurosurgery team at Bronson includes the most advanced minimally invasive surgery techniques to treat brain tumors, vascular disorders, movement disorders and spinal and peripheral nerve problems. They work closely with colleagues in neurology, neuro critical care, epileptology, physiatry, oncology, neuroradiology, neurointerventional surgery, orthopedics, chiropractic, physical therapy and rehabilitation to best meet each patient's individual needs.
