Bronson volunteers provide a wide variety of services:

  • Clerical and office assistance
  • Delivery services
  • Greeting the public
  • Pet therapy
  • Support to patient care units
  • Handmade items

Volunteer opportunities are available in several hospital departments. Here are some to consider:

  • Surgery waiting rooms
  • The Children's Hospital at Bronson
  • Trauma & Emergency Center

Volunteer Qualifications
Volunteers at Bronson have the opportunity to give back to the community by providing guidance and assistance to patients, visitors and staff. In addition to the joy of helping others, volunteers receive exposure to healthcare careers and special recognition. To become a Bronson volunteer you must be:

  • 18 years of age or older*
  • Available three to four hours per week
  • Willing to follow appearance standards
  • Customer service oriented
  • Able to commit to a minimum of six months or 75 hours of service
  • Able to complete pre-placement requirements, orientation and training

VolunTEEN Qualifications
Bronson's VolunTEEN program is available for high school students ages 15-18. Two sessions are offered annually: January through May and June through August. Applications are available online two to three months prior to the beginning of each session. Teens must volunteer at least 30 hours during their session.
