Minimally Invasive Surgery
Many surgeons who practice at Bronson are trained in minimally invasive surgery. In fact, more than 20 percent of the surgeries performed at Bronson use minimally invasive techniques. That means you have fewer, smaller incisions; less pain and need for pain medication. You spend less time in the hospital and recover more quickly. And you get back to your life sooner.
Robotic Surgery
Bronson is the only hospital in the Kalamazoo area offering the da Vinci® Surgical System, the most advanced method for treating patients using minimally invasive surgery. It offers the same benefits as traditional laparoscopic surgery, with the additional benefit of enhanced visualization for the surgeon through 3-D imaging. It also enables surgeons to perform complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with great precision. These features make surgery easier for surgeons and safer for patients.
