Services
Bronson provides comprehensive testing services, including:

  • Stress Testing-treadmill, nuclear cardiology, stress echocardiography and pharmacological stress testing
  • Echocardiography (echo)-two-dimensional transthoracic echo, transesophogeal echo and pediatric echo
  • Non-invasive-holter and event monitoring, tilt table, electrocardiogram (EKG)
  • Bronson Heart Scan - a quick and painless CT scan that detects early signs of heart disease
  • Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) - a non-invasive procedure that, in many cases, can be an alternative to cardiac catheterization to determine if a patient is at risk for a heart attack
  • Vascular testing-venous, arterial and carotid studies

A physician referral and an appointment are required for cardiology and cardiovascular testing. For profiles of physicians specializing in cardiology, cardiac surgery and other related areas, visit our Find a Doctor section.

Quality

Bronson Methodist Hospital was granted accreditation in 2010 for its adult and pediatric Echocardiography (Echo) Lab by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL), marking the fifth straight ICAEL accreditation for the hospital.

This ICAEL accreditation recognizes Bronson’s commitment to high quality patient care and quality diagnostic testing to detect and manage heart disease. To receive this accreditation, Bronson voluntarily signed up for review by an independent agency.

Bronson was the first hospital in Michigan, now one of only seven hospitals in the state, to receive Pediatric Echo Accreditation and is the only hospital in southwest Michigan with Adult and Pediatric Echo Accreditation.
