Bronson brings fitness, wellness, and rehabilitation together in a single, state-of-the-art facility. No matter what your age or physical abilities, working toward a healthy fitness level will better your life.

The Lifestyle Improvement and Research Center (LIRC) is a research-based medical facility with programs to improve the health of residents in southwest Michigan. It is used by:

• Patients who come for therapy or rehabilitation (by physician referral)
• Individual and corporate members of the Bronson Athletic Club
• Community members attending classes, screenings, and wellness programs

Services
In our facility, illness- and injury-prevention programs are located next door to rehabilitation and fitness programs, so it's easy to move between services:

• Adult exercise and fitness
• Aerobic conditioning
• Cardiac rehabilitation
• Exercise programs for diseases such as diabetes and arthritis
• Health risk assessment
• Nutrition counseling
• Occupational health
• Osteoporosis screening
• Pediatric rehabilitation

Research
The LIRC houses the latest technology for monitoring and capturing health data to support research and education, including:

• The study of how lifestyle changes can effect health and aging
• The effects of ergonomics and work-related health issues on employer and insurer costs
• The effectiveness of alternative and complementary therapies
• The development of new technologies to help people with physical challenges

Meetings/Facility Rentals
LIRC conference rooms are available for meetings and gatherings. They can accommodate small or large groups (to 155 people), with available audiovisual equipment and wireless Internet service. The Bronson Athletic Club is also available for overnight school, church, and group events. Contact Jen Anderson for more information.

Deli
Located in the LIRC lobby, the Deli offers drinks, coffee, soups, sandwiches, salads, fruit, bagels, muffins, and other snacks.
